The agricultural content internship is structured as a freelance opportunity. This intern will be responsible for building social media plans based on a provided posting calendar for clients and Front Porch Freelance. In addition to social media, they will be assisting with e-commerce platforms. This includes writing product descriptions, product photography, and writing copy for e-commerce sites.
As of now, there will be 3-5 projects a month – depending on client needs, intern workload and other projects. Intern can be located anywhere in the United States but must have access to reliable internet. THIS IS A LEARNING OPPORTUNITY. This internship would be great for a senior in high school, freshman or sophomore in college who just made their first social media plan and want to get their feet wet.
There is no exact start/end date. The ultimate goal is to foster a long-term relationship with a potential contracted or hired social media manager. This opportunity would work excellent with an agricultural communications SAE or for internship college credits. Pay will be determined by the project as the intern will be able to accept or deny projects. This also allows the intern to accommodate a grueling project-heavy college schedule, a job or family obligations.
Future projects include working with our graphic designer and web programmers to build e-commerce platforms and drive sales. Working booths at trade and farm shows will be up for discussion. Initiative is appreciated and celebrated – if you are willing to work, we are willing to grow with you.
