The Software Development Internship is structured as a freelance opportunity. We are looking for someone to work on e-commerce platform development specialized for the farm-to-table movement. They can be located anywhere in the United States but must have access to reliable internet.
This intern will be building a prototype ag e-commerce platform.
The intern should bring knowledge to the table. Bridget (the owner) wants to tell the intern they are over her head with knowledge and to dumb it down for her…and they do so successfully.
The intern will be able to take liberties and gain a sense of ownership over the work. Goals and visual interface expectations will be provided.
There is no exact start/end date. The ultimate goal is to foster a longer-term relationship with a potential contracted software developer or a hired programmer.
College credits for internships can be gained and agreed upon. Pay will be dependent on time contributed to the project. This also allows the intern to accommodate a grueling project-heavy college schedule, a job or family obligations.
Agriculture background preferred but not required.
Future projects include creating software to grow and enhance the agriculture industry. Initiative is appreciated and celebrated – if you are willing to work, we are willing to grow with you.
